Guildhall was engaged to partner a major economics consultancy in a review for an industry regulator of the commodity, currency and interest rate hedging strategies used by an electricity firm.
The study considered both the impact of these strategies on end-user electricity prices for domestic and business consumers and the extent to which such strategies might be influenced by the statutes that determined the type of hedging activities that could be undertaken.
